Increase throttle response and decreases turbo lag with the VRSF Charge Pipe Upgrade for your F-chassis M2, M235i, 335i & 435i. Every VRSF Charge Pipe is constructed from mandrel bent, T6061 grade aluminum including the flanges. Each flange is precision machined from CNC billet aluminum, including the throttle body, intercooler and vacuum connections. After these are tig welded and hand finished, they’re tested on multiple jigs in order to ensure proper fitment and a reliable, leak free connection.
Each VRSF charge pipe is finished in a durable wrinkle black powder coated finish that blends in perfectly with the engine bay. We also include one plugged 1/8″ NPT bung that can be used for water injection, boost leak testing or as a boost source. The OEM charge pipe is prone to failure at both stock and tuned boost levels which is why we include everything necessary to replace your flimsy OEM chargepipe including high quality, 4-ply silicone couplers as well as stainless steel t-bolt clamps.
Additionally, we offer and recommend replacement throttle body c-clips and o-rings in case your original clip and gasket are lost or worn.

Novel:
I was driving down the road and heard an ominous pop that coincided with a loss of control and power on my 2013 335i xDrive. Internet searches guided me to what the problem was and yes, I opened my hood to discover the top of my charge pipe shattered (When it happened, I originally feared the transmission went from fine to major slippage). I found VRSF on the forums and was ready to buy. I reached out and Cheryl was extremely nice, patient, helpful and professional – she guided me to the right product (I was about to buy the wrong one) and provided terrific after purchase support. Her great care affirmed my purchase decision from VRSF was the right one and she will make me a repeat customer in the future.
When I got the super fast regular shipment (took ~2 days across the country that I had to delay via FedEx Vacation Hold as it was arriving quicker than I expected), I was pleased with the quality for the price. The kit had everything I needed (I did also purchase a new upper o-ring from VRSF) – the nicer than required hose clamps were a positive touch. Overall, this aluminum VRSF charge pipe is a HUGE upgrade over the OEM plastic.
As I recently hurt my back, I was going to take it to a local BMW shop. First BMW indy I called heard I got a VRSF and he just bashed VRSF and how incredibly impossible it is to work with their charge pipes (I later discovered he was completely and utterly ‘misinformed’ – I likely dodged a bullet with his shop). I then got two other BMW indy quotes @ 2-3 hours of work @ ~$190/hour. Yikes. I reached out to Cheryl to see if that was anywhere near reasonable – she gave a candid response from VRSF’s tech team – “Do it yourself!”. She provided a link to helpful instructional videos, which caused me to review a few other videos. With Cheryl’s encouragement, I performed the repair on Race Ramps. The single most difficult part of the job was carefully removing the OEM one piece charge pipe. While the consensus from instructional videos seemed to encourage taking the OEM pipe out from under the car, I found removing it from the top was more feasible. Compared to the one piece OEM pipe, installing the VRSF two piece (plus silicone connector) was an absolute breeze. As I took my sweet time and was using Race Ramps on the ground vs. a lift, it took me ~3 hours. These can be replaced in ~1.5 hours if you’re more efficient/pain free. AmateurTip: Just make sure you wear eye protection when pulling down the intercooler unless you like a ton of dirt, leaves and pine needles on your pupils.
After seeing how common this crippling failure is with OEM, I’d encourage anyone with a F30 N55 to preemptively replace the OEM charge pipe with the VRSF. Thank you VRSF and especially, Cheryl!

Like many owners, I wish I had done this piece of preventative maintenance earlier! The OEM charge pipe blew off as I was accelerating on a country road, breaking off at the join with the throttle body. Limp mode for 150 kilometres to get home.
Ordered the VRSF charge pipe kit with replacement clip and o-ring. Shipped via FedEx International Priority and arrived in Australia within four days! Mechanic fitted it easily. The product is high quality and looks great fitted.
A must do for anyone with a 435i, particularly if running the M Power Kit or another tune, as the OEM pipe will fail without a doubt! My vehicle is 8 years old, only done 34,000 kilometres and poof!

As a shade tree mechanic, this was a straightforward project but it did take some time to get everything to fit properly. The product does NOT come with instructions so you have to figure it out on your own (pretty easy) or watch YouTube. You will need ramps, a variety of basic tools, a good LED light, and some patience. I found that it was much easier to remove the air box/intake to ensure access and fitment. You will need to drop the intercooler to facilitate removal and proper fit. Grease on the o-rings really helps. The results are impressive. Fit is great, it looks good and it’s nice to know I won’t have to address this anymore. Feel confident in buying this product. I would give it a 5-star rating if it came with some directions or tips for installation. I think instructions on just the process and flow of the installation would have been super helpful.

The factory charge pipe blew out during normal driving in my 2014 335i, throwing a check engine light and creating a shaky stall while idling. I choose the VRSF upgraded charge pipe due to its cost, other good reviews, and that VRSF is based out of my home state (I like to shop as local as possible). The VRSF charge pipe was shipped very fast; it was ordered on a Tuesday around noon and I had it at my doorstep Wednesday evening (and this was their regular shipping option, nothing expedited). There are several youtube videos available on how to replace the charge pipe which were similar to my BMW. I’ll note that I was successful removing the original charge pipe from below without removing the intercooler. I had to move the whole pipe up and then back down through a different “opening” to fish it out. I installed the new charge pipe assembly as two pieces (one from the top and one from bottom). The joint is in a great place to allow for an easier installation than if it was the original one piece design. The fit was also great; maybe even a bit too great as it took me longer than I expected to get the top piece mated to the throttle body since the fit tolerance was very tight. Also, the lower piece of the charge pipe had two 1/8th inch bungs versus the description which wasn’t super clear. The two bungs were also in a good position to get to from under the car if I ever needed to connect into them. If you order an o-ring or clip along with this part, make sure to check the flaps on top of the box since mine were hidden from view when I first opened the box from the bottom. Overall, a great part and great customer service.

You all know why you’re here. Let me tell you a very nice benefit to the VRSF pipe, the design makes it very easy to install the pipe. The point at which the two pieces join together is very conveniently located in an open area under the engine, so you can install the small piece to the IC first, and push down the longer piece from the top. They meet where there is a lot of space to put your hands, and the clamps can be easily accessed to tighten as well. Love that! Good build quality, feels very durable. No complaints here. Make sure to tighten the clamps very tightly. And I mean very tightly.

I recently suffered from a failure of the original BMW charge pipe on my 2014 335xi that has less than 50k miles. If you are going through the trouble to remove the old charge pipe then you really should upgrade to this two-piece aluminum pipe. I am very confident that this pipe is superior to the BMW original equipment. There are plenty of good YouTube videos to help you with the process for changing out the pipe.

Installation tip. I noted all the you tube installation videos included removing the intercooler for installation. Not needed. Simply use a reciprocating saw to cut factory item in half and remove out of top of bay. VFSR unit comes in two pieces making easy to insert from top of engine bay.

Good stuff. installed with intercooler. lined up well. Beware, it uses its own screws for the sensor mount. The oem screws wont work and can strip out the holes.

Just installed a VRSF charge pipe to replace a broken OEM unit – no problems with fitment and it took longer to remove the old CP than put the new one on. I like the black crackle finish rather than the polished look of the ER, but their products are very well-engineered (had some on my previous car). I chose VRSF because I’ll be changing cars next year and my current one isn’t highly tuned. One other thing I like about VRSF’s CP is that I bought it as a kit complete with replacement throttle-body o-ring and clip.

I too have the vrsf fmic and cp and they have been great. Fitment was spot on and had no trouble getting it on the throttle body. I used their clip as it was slightly thicker than oem and fit perfect.

Great quality. Powder coating makes it much stronger and less prone to bending. Figment is good. No boost leaks.

Fit was good, OEM style . Hardest part was putting it into the throttle body for a good snug fit but that’s the point . You wouldn’t want it coming off anyway .

This is a great charge pipe upgrade, ecspecially for the price. The fitment was perfect. My old charge pipe blew up and needed this one fairly quick. I ordered 2 day shipping and got it within that time. The powder coat does chip a bit, but doesn’t really matter to me.

Works great, fits perfect and the difference in power band is obvious. Less turbo lag more linear and smooth power delivery and not to mention bulletproof compared to stock. Well worth the money.

Installed my VSFR CP over the weekend… boost is back! And yes, I kinda like the wrinkle black look. Part was hard to slide over both throttle body and IC but I assume it’s good for that to be a tight seal. Thanks!

F30 N55 Charge pipe
Got my charge pipe kit in recently. Upon opening package, I was slightly disappointed because the charge piping was chipped in a few places. Looks like powder coating was a little rushed. But, I did not let that affect my choice to install it same day. Installation was not too difficult compared to other items I’ve installed on the car. Looked good and definitely noticed some more consistency in the power band. Overall, I’m happy with the product and definitely recommend it over the more expensive ones.

I’m running one on my car and have been for the last few thousand miles. No issues with it after I installed it. It did separate on me one time when I switched to map 5 but I just retightened the clamps and it has been good since.

Quality product. No need to spend a ridiculous amount of money for a product that flows no better than this one. Using all VRSF products on an M235i with PS2 and PI.
