We are proud to introduce our VRSF catless & catted downpipe for your N55 BMW. This downpipe is THE best bang for the buck mod available. This downpipe is available in both catless (race) & catted configuration.
Back pressure is significantly reduced by eliminating the restrictive catalytic converter in the factory downpipe with our catless or high flow 200 cell race cat which results in faster spool, an increase in power & a more aggressive exhaust note.
VRSF downpipes are hand crafted from mandrel bent SS304 grade stainless steel and our CNC precision machined flanges are also constructed from billet 304 grade stainless steel. All VRSF products include a lifetime warranty as well as our “No Hassle” satisfaction guarantee (including fitment). All M135i & 335i models produced up to 07/13 require the 3.5″ version of this downpipe. M135 and 335i models produced after 07/13 require the 4″ model of this downpipe. All M235 and 435i models require the 4″ version of this downpipe. Please confirm by looking at your Turbo Wastegate. It is located on the lower passenger side of the engine next to the Turbo. See picture below for reference.
Note: We also offer ceramic coating services utilizing Cerakote High Temperature Ceramic coating, made to withstand temperatures up to 1800F. We use Cerakote’s best thermal barrier coating which helps keep the hot air inside the exhaust and out of the engine bay which decreases overall intake air temps along with engine and transmission oil temps. Please note that while we do offer a lifetime warranty on the downpipes, we only offer a 1 year warranty on the ceramic coating as well as the catted versions.

Like the title states the fitment is perfect, the install was pretty easy, I’d say it took about an hour total, I’d recommend getting new clamps for turbo and for the exhaust, you can definitely hear the turbo a bit more with it on

Shipping was very quick and the product was packaged very well. The installation took around two hours with two people and was challenging but definitely doable. Comparing the high-flow cat to the stock revealed that the cat mesh is much more coarse than the stock. I would estimate that the area of each flow tube is around four to five times larger on the VRSF pipe.
My 2014 335xi with 6sp MT has the VRSF larger intercooler and VSRF charge pipe and is not running a tune (yet). The car’s exhaust note is more throaty and is great. While my wife was “testing” the down pipe I saw the horse power output on the Sport Display hit 320 HP. She said that the car showed massive pull at 70 mph around 5k RPMS. I believe that this was a great choice.

Bought for my girlfriends f30 335 M sport, it took about 1 hour to install, and honestly… the car sounds like what BMW meant for it to sound like. She does have a charge pipe and Mallone Stage 1 tune, but before the downpipe, you could barely hear the turbo. Best money I’ve spent on my 335i- The car already had a muffler delete and wasn’t terribly loud, but after installing a catless downpipe, it’s incredibly loud. Sounds good though, like a proper inline 6. Lots of pops and bangs in sport mode too!
Fitment was better than I could have ever expected, and the quality is excellent. Installation was relatively smooth except for the top v band which I spent an embarrassing amount of time on. Ended up having to use long vice grips to squeeze it together.

I will give this 5 stars for a few reasons. The first is the build quality of the pipe is very good the welds are smooth there’s no slag at the joints . The second is the outlet side of the flange fits the oem metal gasket very well although I do recommend you pick up a new gasket as it’s a little tricky to get off the oem pipe without deforming it. Last but not least the shipping response was A+, order was shipped the very next day .

Just installed the high flow catted downpipe on my 2016 435i. It was a very easy install. Recommend purchasing the downpipe to mid pipe clamp. The bolt of mine was a little corroded and the clamp bent when removing. It was easy to fix but just in case. I also purchased the turbo to downpipe clamp and gasket. Mine was in good condition so I reused them. The goal of the install was to add some sound and free up some restriction of the exhaust. Both of these goals were achieved and I am very happy with the results. The next mod will be the VRSF 5″ stepped intercooler and Charge pipe. (note: I was running a stage 1 tune prior to the downpipe install but no CEL light. still running stage 1)

Great product, I would definitely recommend. The one issue I did have was I purchased a new clamp for where the turbo meets the downpipe. The clamp barely fit between a pipe and the turbo. Second, the clamp would not allow you to connect the pipe and leave it loose to clock the bolt. Very frustrating. Used the stock clamp without any issues. Support was great, and we tried to remedy the issue.

Just installed my VRSF Catted DP paired with MPE I love the sound especially when in Sport its sounds very refined and just enhanced the MPE, the cold starts were awesome (wife wasn’t a fan neighbors either I imagine)
As far as quality go’s I can’t really say its seems good so far but i’ve only driven with it for 1k miles (No Check engine light but i’m also tuned with MHD Stage 2+ so i’m sure that helps) I can definitely feel the difference in tq. and whp.

Go vrsf catless with the dinan freeflow everyone says my car sounds really good sounds a lot better than my buddies m sport exhaust, and performance-wise I keep up with him hes fbo mhd 2+ and I have Intake, catless dp, dinan s1, and xhp transmission tune with a passenger in the car he only starts pulling away around 100.

I went with the catted down pipe for my N55 M235i. I didn’t want to go cat-less just because I wont be tracking my car. Im so happy I went high flow, I don’t have any codes, no issues, and it sounds just as good as cat-less without the smell of course. I recently paired it with a resonator delete and MPE muffler and the pops were insane, I just changed it to a custom M2 Muffler setup paired with the high flow down pipe and resonator delete and it is a deep tone and sounds amazing. The down-pipe really opened up my shifts and my performance is through the roof. I didn’t know which down-pipe to go with due to so many on the market. But VRSF has a very affordable selection and have great reviews and service so there was my answer. I bought this about a month ago and no complaints. I love my car so much now and probably the best mod I’ve ever done.

I received my down pipe upgrade a few weeks back and this was the best purchase I could’ve made. I didn’t have a lot of money to go for a whole exhaust system and came across the cat-less down pipe which was the best bang for my buck upgrade I could’ve made. The installation was extremely easy since it was a bolt on mod and allows for easy removal if I was to have my car leased which I don’t.
Performance/Sound:
As soon as I installed this into my car and drove off I could already tell the difference the down pipe made within seconds. For people who love turbo spooling you can hear it like you hear someone talking in your ear right next to you. With exhaust sounds this thing can fight with cars that have no mufflers. The sound of speeding up and the start-up make it sound as if the car has no muffler to begin with. The backfires and burbles on the car are equally as loud or louder than the car itself. This gave my car around 10-15 whp and you can feel the difference as soon as you wham on the gas. It definitely feels as if you gained a lot of torque from just a tiny pipe.
I honestly think this is THE best mod to buy if you’re looking for something that makes your car compete with other cars, but you don’t have that much money to spend. Installation is pretty straight forward and the way they take care of the packaging and delivery has me buying more from this company already.

For 2013 335i xdrive manual installation was decent. Had to remove the oil guard skid plate to have access to upper flange. Flex head 13mm did the trick. Use antiseize for O2 sensors. Used OEM clamps for perfect fit.

Car Sounds as fast as it it now!
This is a quality product, very well made, The install was a breeze compared to other exhaust systems I’ve worked on in the past. took about 2 hours with rhino ramps and jacks. Sounds great when you get up to 4-6,000 RPM’s, nice and quite at highway speeds so it doesn’t drive you crazy. Great bang for the buck.

Quality part and easy fitment.
Best bang for the buck. Downpipe should be everyone’s first mod. Install was easy, just make sure you purchase the clamp and seal from turbocharger to downpipe. Clamp for downpipe to mid pipe is reusable however there is a metal seal there, reuse at your own risk.

Quality and fitment were both spot on
I went with a ceramic coated catless VRSF, quality and fitment were both spot on . VRSF doesn’t have the bracket the others do that mounts to the transmission but I feel it unnecessary and it helps with getting those not so perfect aftermarket exhausts lined up by allowing the DP to be rotated one way or the other slightly.

Got it in a few days and fitment was great.
Got it in a few days and fitment was great. Reused the turbo/DP clamp but replaced the gasket and replaced the DP/mid pipe V-clamp. Shouldn’t have any issues as long as the installer takes the time to fit it properly and align it up correctly. Turbo/DP gasket can be easily damaged if not seated properly before tightening it down.

An exotic almost race car sound
I bought the DP mainly for sound and to be able to run Map 2. It did not disappoint. OMG! The burble and pops are insane. My last car also had BMW PPK so I had the burble which I have missed with this car, but it’s almost out of control. The thing just pops and pops. Even on comfort mode.
But, the icing on the cake is when accelerating under an overpass, the exhaust note is, as others have said before, an exotic almost race car sound.

Overall the sound is amazing
I installed the VRSF catless DP with a help of my friend who has a shop and a lift. Overall it was pretty easy, 1hr job. The hardest part was taking off the stock downpipe as its much wider than the VRSF and not much room there. Once the VRSF DP was installed, we didn’t connect the exhaust to it yet and started the car to see how it sounds, OMG, it was pretty damn loud, but nice.. (I wouldn’t mind having a electric cutout valve or whatever they are called).
Overall the sound is amazing, its quiet when cruising but once you get on it, its sounds like a race car, i love it. I have M-performance exhaust, so i don’t know how it sounds on a stock exhaust, but i would guess it would be similar.
The first time i took it for a a test drive, all sport settings, OMG, i was loosing traction left and right, i definitely felt power increase throughout the RPM range (running JB4 on map 1).

Pleased with the outcome
Just installed it yesterday after work and I am pretty pleased with the outcome. The DP is clean and it works. For the price of the VRSF you can’t go wrong. I haven’t heard much videos of a 335i/435i with a catless downpipe and stock cat back so I figured I’d take a video of that setup. Car is bone stock and just has the VRSF DP with BMC Filter (but that’s not audible). Car will be going to the guys at Enzo Performance next week for a flash so I can’t wait for that. I already feel the power difference just by adding the DP.

I just got my VRSF cat-less down pipe installed on my 335 and it was overall a good purchase.
